Adjustable gain, superior off-axis rejection, and a selectable low-cut filter provide exceptional definition and clarity. Continuing Shure's commitment to quality and durability, the VP83 features a lightweight, all-metal housing and built-in shockmount for reliable field use.
The VP83 achieves natural audio reproduction with its wide frequency range, high sensitivity, low self-noise, and full low-frequency response. Its shotgun shape allows it to offer a lobar/supercardioid polar pattern. This is the most directional pickup pattern possible and effectively blocks out background noise. A three-position audio gain switch (-10 dB, 0 dB, +20 dB) allows for volume compensation of different sources.
