Environmentally resistant and EN54-24 certified, the SM Series speaker systems offer quality sound reproduction and contemporary styling in a compact enclosure. The system components consist of a highly efficient woofer section and a ferrofluid-cooled mylar high-frequency device. Vocal and musical clarity are optimized through the advanced, mathematically engineered design of the AtlasIED TRX Control WaveGuide™ high-frequency director. This design provides smooth, even sound coverage (90° x 90°). The high frequency section is symmetrical, for equal coverage in vertical and horizontal cabinet mounting positions. High-frequency component protection is provided by the AtlasIED Poly Guard™ protection circuit. Both drivers feature low-leakage designs that allow the speaker to be used near video monitors. For critical video monitoring applications, a minimum distance of 18" from the edge of the speaker to the edge of the display is recommended. The SM42TEN-B and SM42TEN-WH include an internally mounted 16 Watt 70.7V/100V line matching transformer with screwdriver adjustable external tap selection for use in distributed sound applications.

To withstand the harshest environments, the new Strategy Series® SM42TEN-B and SM42TEN-WH surface-mount speakers are constructed of weather-resistant materials: UV-resistant, injection-molded polycarbonate/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene enclosures; polypropylene woofer cones; Powder coated aluminum grilles and all brass hardware. Strategy Series speaker systems include a versatile yet simple C-stand designed to provide easy vertical or horizontal installation on almost any surface. Care should be taken to ensure that the mounting surface chosen is strong enough to support the SM42TEN-B and SM42TENWH. Care should also be taken to ensure that the SM42TEN-B and SM42TEN-WH are not exposed to direct precipitation. A 15mm (0.59") threaded hole is provided in the C-mount to allow the SM Series loudspeaker to be mounted to any AtlasIED microphone stand for nearfield live sound applications. 2-3/8" 1/4" OC Brass Inserts are also provided on the back of the SM42TEN-B and SM42TENWH to accommodate the AtlasIED SMBALLMOUNT or OMNIMOUNT™ 10 Series mounts. All mounting knob inserts are standard 1/4"-20 to allow easy replacement of standard "off-the-shelf" or "one-way" hardware. Vandal-proof torx head or "one-way" hardware. Input connectors include a 2-pole sealed terminal strip capable of accepting up to two #16AWG wires. The 2, 4, 8, and 16 watt taps can be selected with a screwdriver via a sealed switch located near the inlet section on the back of the cabinet. The internal transformer can also be bypassed for 8 Ω operation via a tap selector switch. A recessed cover with cable exit hole is provided to ensure that the input connections and the socket selector switch are protected. Systems are available in white or black finishes and can be painted to suit any architectural consideration.
