Each SHS-3T2-HD includes a single full-range driver housed in a cabinet that delivers high-quality sound. The transducer is connected to the SHS tunnel waveguide to take sound performance to the next level. As sound exits the waveguide, it travels through the patented adaptive dispersion lens which acts as a phase stopper. The acoustic result is that all frequencies are radiated evenly, minimizing annoying "hot spots" located directly below the speakers. This makes the SHS not only a great solution for sound and music reinforcement, but also an excellent sound masking speaker.

The SHS-3T2-HD is designed for blind mounting in rigid ceilings with a minimum clearance of 3.5" above the ceiling deck. The specially designed expansion ring locks the speaker in place. Once installed in the ceiling, the speaker is concealed by a patented 3" diameter dispersion lens with a micro-adjustment ring. Once installed, the visual appearance is reduced to the size of a high-end ceiling sprinkler. The SHS-3T2-HD can be transformed into a true chameleon through AtlasIED's DesignLab. AtlasIED offers custom color matching using a UV printer that allows the integrator to submit an image or sample of the roof. Then, using a state-of-the-art printing service, a custom lens and trim ring matching the submitted sample will be sent to the customer. To learn more about DesignLab's custom process, visit www.atlasied.com/shs-cust.

The SHS-3T2-HD comes with the ability to use the adaptive dispersion lens in three different configurations for various applications. Sound masking installations and installations with low ceilings (less than 10') must use the standard 4mm dispersion lens with an attached solid lens cover. Installations with ceilings between 10' and 14' must use the standard 8mm dispersion lens with the solid lens cover attached. In installations with ceiling heights greater than 14' or in applications requiring maximum intelligibility, the 4mm direct fire lens must be used with the direct fire grille installed.
