The speaker used in the SD72WV is the next generation of Atlas high-performance cone speakers, very similar to previous C Series speakers. The similarity in sonic qualities ensures that contractors and designers who have worked with AtlasIED C-Series in the past know exactly what to expect when using the SD72WV.

The SD72WV is a 25-watt, 8" (205 mm) speaker with a 10 oz (260 g) ceramic magnet. It features a treated linear curved paper cone for lower harmonic distortion. The speaker is also equipped with a 1" diameter copper voice coil with a black anodized aluminum former for improved power dissipation. The SD72WV operates within a frequency response range of 45 Hz to 19 kHz (nominal) with a sensitivity of 97 dB and a dispersion angle of 105°. The package includes a factory-installed 25/70.7V line transformer with tap selections ranging from 0.25 to 5 watts.

The SD72WV includes a factory-installed CRS baffle with concealed speaker mounting studs and includes screw mounting hardware. The SD72WV baffle features standard mounting holes to accommodate most AtlasIED 8" tile bridges, mounting rings, and cabinets.

When specifying mounting hardware, please note that the SD72WV baffle dimensions match the AtlasIED model 62-8. The baffle finish is white powder-coated epoxy. The baffle-mounted volume control has a 5-watt audio rating and is factory-wired to the voice coil. Units are shipped assembled, ready for installation.
