8" dual-cone ceiling speaker with 5-watt 25V/70V transformer and 62-8 baffle

The speaker used in the SD72W is the next generation of high-performance Atlas cone speakers, very similar to previous C-Series speakers. The similarity in sonic qualities ensures that contractors and designers who have worked with Atlas C-Series speakers in the past know exactly what to expect when using the SD72W.

The SD72W model is a 25 watt, 8" (205 mm), dual-cone speaker with a 10 oz (260 g) ceramic magnet. It features a treated paper curvilinear cone for lower harmonic distortion. The speaker is also equipped with a 1" diameter copper speaker voice coil with a black anodized aluminum former for improved power dissipation. The package includes a factory-installed 25/70.7 V line transformer with tap selections ranging from 0.25 to 5 watts.

The SD72W model operates within a frequency response range of 45 Hz - 19 kHz (nominal) with a sensitivity of 97 dB and a dispersion angle of 105°.

The SD72W includes a factory-installed CRS baffle with concealed speaker mounting studs and includes screw-mount hardware. The SD72W baffle features standard mounting holes to accommodate most AtlasIED tile bridges, mounting rings, and 8" enclosures. When specifying mounting hardware, please note that the SD72W baffle dimensions match the AtlasIED Model 62-8. The baffle finish is white powder coat epoxy.
