The speaker used in the SD72 is the next generation of Atlas high-performance cone speakers, very similar to previous C Series speakers. The similarity in sonic qualities ensures that contractors and designers who have worked with AtlasIED C-Series in the past know exactly what to expect when using the SD72.

The SD72 is a 25 watt, 8" (205 mm) dual-cone speaker with a 10 oz (260 g) ceramic magnet. It features a curvilinear, treated paper cone for lower harmonic distortion. The speaker is also equipped with a 1" diameter copper speaker coil with a black anodized aluminum former for improved power dissipation.

The SD72 model operates within a frequency response range of 45 Hz - 19 kHz (nominal) with a sensitivity of 97 dB and a dispersion angle of 105°. The package includes a factory-installed 25/70.7V line transformer with tap selections ranging from 0.25 to 5 watts.

The unit mounts a wide variety of AtlasIED round and square enclosures and baffles to meet functional and aesthetic application requirements.
