The R Series monitor is the culmination of the S Series' proprietary technology, with materials developed from the ground up in every part of the design, just like its bigger siblings. The R5m is a true chameleon with enough bass extension to deliver an incredible 2-channel experience—the heart of a 2.1 reference-level system, the LCR for a home theater, or the surround sound in that monstrous R Series system. The option for a fully vented full-range experience or a sealed enclosure helps transform this speaker to fit any system.
Designed to be mounted on an optional stand or mounted on a wall with our optional swivel and tilt bracket. Sharing the “filtering” technology of our flagship S Series, the DPC-Array here based on three 26mm domes ensures superb directivity control and timbre matching with all R Series speakers. The Silk diaphragms were developed from the ground up, specifically chosen for their smooth and effortless midrange and treble representation. The 165mm woofers are made from our proprietary HPF pulp, two years in development, bringing new technology to one of the oldest materials used in speaker design. The R5m can be aligned as bass reflex or acoustic suspension to suit specific tastes. Rich, dynamic bass combined with advanced mid/treble directivity pattern control and silky-smooth treble deliver best-in-class performance.
