VHD2000 KVV 987 082 System Control and Amplifier (PZA)

The VHD2000 is the control and amplification unit for the VHD2.0. It is a three-way, rack-mounted unit containing high-frequency, mid-frequency, and mid-bass amplifiers. It also houses all the processing and control electronics for the subwoofer system.

Our proprietary hybrid signal processing utilizes the best technology available in both the analog and digital worlds to provide complete audio system control, equalization, overdrive protection, thermal protection, and user-adjustable configuration parameters.

Time alignment and phase correction are performed via the KV2's new 20MHz digital delay line, which features the highest sampling rate of any digital speaker processor available. Once the setup process is complete, the VHD2000 manages all system functions and ensures optimal performance.

  • The configuration provides two-channel selection and control of different VHD subwoofer combinations, or full-range mode, with +/- 6 dB level control and two rear-mounted line-level subwoofer outputs to feed a VHD 3200 subwoofer amplifier.
  • Complete integrated speaker management system including equalization, time alignment, crossover filters, amplifier overdrive protection, system setup, and output level controls.
  • Newly developed 20MHz PDM sampling and digital delay alignment system that sets new standards for audio performance and dramatically increases phase response accuracy and definition.
  • AC soft start circuit with ON/OFF AC circuit breaker switch provides complete power protection.
  • The complete front-to-rear cooling system features PCBs sealed into the chassis for improved reliability.
  • Two switches per side activate a specific set of filters and operating parameters for larger scale events when an additional VHD2000 and VHD2.0 are used per side.
  • Individual signal inserts for mid/high, subwoofer A and subwoofer B provide flexibility for inserting signal processing or feeding from auxiliary sources as needed.
  • The front panel input impedance selector provides optimal input impedance selection when used with a KV2 Audio LD4 line controller.
