The KG-200

It's a brilliant, lightweight gaming headset that we could only really appreciate after we managed to get it out of needlessly complicated packaging. Once we got it out of too much plastic and had all the wiring fall out all over the place, we were able to appreciate its sharp look, silver-on-black trim, and sporty padding. Seriously, the packaging is terrible.

These phones look good on your head - you won't look like you should be in a flight control tower with these on. They feel pretty good with their soft ear pads and soft rubber head pad. Headphone nerds will tell you that grip strength is important for sound quality, as it keeps sound in (bass) and disturbances. If you have a normal-sized head like mine, you'll appreciate the unnaturally strong squeeze the KG-200 puts on your ears. But if you're stubborn, this could be a problem. Likewise, if you have longer-than-usual ears, these smaller earphones will crowd into the tops of your ears or into your earlobes. The KG-200s qualify as over-the-ear phones.

For the Xbox 360, the included RCA connector is required to send audio to the set, as is the Xbox AV cable. This is a type of loopback, with the audio coming out of the RCA piggybacking jacks sending signal to the 1/8' headphone jack on your headphones. Going back out, the microphone requires an additional cable to send its speech to the system, doubling the cabling. Xbox One isn't too bad, but it does require the new Xbox One connector lock accessory.

For PlayStation users, the PS4 supports direct USB connectivity (you'll need to update your system firmware) for audio only, but the recommended settings for composite and RCA output will still require you to use the RCA cable splitter to extract audio from your television. . You really can't do it if your TV or display doesn't have RCA connectors, or if the video connection type doesn't support audio options. Keep the receipt.PZA. more features
