The IS8-212WR is a compact direct-radiating subwoofer with large, balanced ports that provide optimal cabinet tuning and even air pressure distribution to the driver cone, reducing distortion and extending system longevity. The drivers are charged in individual air volumes within the enclosure, isolating their performance from each other. This arrangement not only provides additional protection for the drivers in the event of a fault, but also allows the designer to implement directional subwoofer techniques, such as end-firing directed arrays and cardioid patterns, within a single cabinet when using any model of subwoofer from dual controller I SERIES.
