Simply connect one pair of conductors to one set of (+/-) inputs and the second pair of conductors to the second set of inputs. What is a dual voice coil in-ceiling speaker? A dual voice coil (DVC) in-ceiling speaker uses a special voice coil cone design that allows both channels of a stereo system to drive one cone. It sounds complicated, but it isn't. Basically, a DVC speaker reproduces the left and right channels through one speaker cone. You get both channels, but without the acoustic separation that occurs with two speakers. There are places like bathrooms, closets, or hallways that simply can't accommodate multiple speakers, so a DVC speaker solves the problem and produces excellent sound. Before installing the speakers, remove the grille and you will see several mounting screws near the front frame. These screws must be loosened to activate the dogleg clamps. Use a screwdriver to loosen (turn counterclockwise) these screws, and the clamp will loosen. Once the speaker is in position in the ceiling, tighten (turn clockwise) the screw, and the speaker will be secured to the ceiling. For an upgrade installation, a building support is not required.
