Pair of 25.2" Contract Series 5-Way Flush-Mount In-Ceiling Speakers - ICE520
Our ICE520 5.25-inch in-ceiling speaker with polypropylene woofer is often used in commercial applications where good sound is needed over large areas without a large cost; however, many of our customers are homeowners who install the ICE520s in hallways, dining rooms, garages, etc. The 5.25-inch speakers feature polypropylene woofers and a pivoting PEI dome tweeter for excellent coverage.
Pivoting titanium dome tweeter
The tweeter's job is to deliver the highest frequencies of music and soundtracks. The tweeter is also adjustable, meaning it can be pointed toward the listening area. This can make a big difference in sound quality, especially for dialogue and higher frequencies.
All of our in-ceiling speakers feature a dogleg (L-shaped) mounting system that is part of the frame. Before installing the speakers, remove the grille and you will see several mounting screws near the front frame. These screws must be loosened to activate the dogleg clamps. Use a screwdriver to loosen (turn counterclockwise) these screws, and the clamp will loosen. Once the speaker is in position in the ceiling, tighten (turn clockwise) the screw, and the speaker will be secured to the ceiling.
For an upgrade installation, a build stand is not required.
