Coaxial speaker (PZA)
8" coaxial speaker with 16 watt, 70.7 V transformer
The FA138T167 is AtlasIED's premium 8" coaxial speaker with a factory-installed 16-watt, 70.7V high-efficiency transformer.
The speaker includes a high-pass/low-pass crossover mounted on a circuit board that produces exceptional sound quality. The FA138 model contains a reinforced polypropylene woofer cone, a custom butyl rubber surround, a 1 1/2" vented Kapton voice coil, a 21 oz. magnet and a 1/2" mylar dome ferrofluid-cooled tweeter for clean, powerful, weather-resistant performance.
The integral 16 watt, 70.7 V transformer features a frequency response of 40 Hz - 15 kHz ( ± 1 dB) with 4, 8 and 16 watt primary inputs.
For optimal acoustics and application versatility, the Strategy Series has been designed as a system offering high-performance FA97-8 Series (0.22 cu. ft.) acoustically batted enclosures as well as economical FA95-6 Series (0.17 cu. ft.) back-box enclosures. The speaker is front-loaded and installs quickly and easily in the ceiling using only a screwdriver to adjust the swivel clamps. The speakers can also be ceiling- or wall-mounted in areas with minimal depth using a Model FAPR-8 drywall ring instead of a cabinet.
The selection includes a choice of two attractive grilles that are equipped with three notched studs for hardware-free snap-on installation in Strategy Series cabinets.
For limited depth installations where a cabinet is not required, the Model FAPR-8 mounting ring can be used. The new FA-TR8 construction ring model is also available to serve as a cutting pattern and location marker for drywall installers in new construction applications.
