EVAC-500FM
EN54-16 Firefighter microphone
The EVAC-500FM firefighter microphone is EN54-16 certified and designed exclusively for the EVAC-500 public address and voice evacuation system. The firefighter microphone is a surface-mounted enclosure containing a first aid and echo-cancelling microphone, a status indicator, a pre-recorded message announcement, and a live announcement. The firefighter microphone is typically used in an emergency to assist the firefighter in entering or acknowledging an emergency status, and to acknowledge and restore a fault condition. Pre-recorded emergency or alert messages can be transmitted to a pre-assigned zone or all zones, and live calls can be made to firefighters on a priority basis. The firefighter microphone is a remote control that has buttons and indicators dedicated solely to firefighter operation. The remote control does not have zone selection but does have programmable buttons. Four LED indicators display the EVAC status and active calls on the system. Fault indicators display detailed information about a fault in the system. Connection to the voice evacuation system is via a standard shielded CAT-6 cable and RJ-45 connectors on a redundancy loop of up to 600 meters. The wall-mounted firefighter microphone is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The voice evacuation system strictly complies with the Construction Products Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011: EN54-16:2008 Voice alarm indication and control equipment.
