More powerful, more efficient, more robust… simply more. For nearly 50 years, Russound has designed equipment that adapts to the needs of the installer. When we decided to redesign the next generation of our ubiquitous line of multi-channel amplifiers, we approached it from the ground up. The result is the D Series, a completely customized solution that has all the great features of our historically popular multi-channel amplifiers in a much more refined platform.
The Russound D1650 digital multi-channel amplifier delivers the features custom installation professionals demand, while offering a lighter weight, smaller chassis, and more efficient Class D power. The D1650's feature-rich design is ideal for the demands of distributed audio systems and is also compatible with our Russound volume controls. The D1650's 16 channels are arranged in stereo pairs to provide discrete amplification and custom settings for each of the 8 zones.
Sound quality
All D-Series amplifiers feature the same legendary Russound sound quality and easy-to-install features customers have come to expect. Ultra-low distortion output (relatively unheard of in other multi-zone amplifiers) allows for clean, distortion-free audio even at high listening volumes. A robust protection circuit provides efficient, safe, and reliable operation under extreme conditions and protects each amplifier output channel.
Home theater
The D Series amplifiers are even up to the rigorous demands of home theater applications, easily transforming into a powerful 160 watt x 8 channel monster (in bridge mode). You can also choose to disconnect pairs individually for lower power applications, such as Dolby Atmos® or surround speakers. As an example, you could run a 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos system at 7 channels at 160W and 2 channels at 50W. That's the versatility of Russound!
