The speakers are IP55 rated, which is explained below;
First digit: Solids
The first digit indicates the level of protection the enclosure provides against access to hazardous parts (e.g., electrical conductors, moving parts) and the ingress of solid foreign objects.
Second Digit: Liquids
Protection of equipment inside the cabinet against harmful water ingress.
5 - Dust-protected. Dust ingress is not completely prevented, but it should not be present in sufficient quantities to interfere with satisfactory equipment operation; complete protection against contact.
5 - Water jets. Water projected from a nozzle (6.3 mm) into the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
IP55: Protected against limited ingress of dust and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction.
