The CQ-1 is an excellent wall extension of the CQ product series. Works just like the other CQ models with plug-and-play simplicity. Fits in a box of three units. The fifteen amp duplex turns on with a single sequence event. A utility box is supplied with the unit. But any standard three-group enclosure is sufficient. Like other CQ models, the CQ1 has a sequence signal line input and output port to allow it to be daisy-chained with any number of other CQ devices.
Application example
With the CQ1, AV installations can be designed without rack equipment and controlled with a simple wall-mounted key switch. Below is an example of a sound system using a mobile FOH setup and self-powered speakers. A CQ-1 module controls the location of the mix. Two more modules control the self-powered speaker groups.
The growing popularity of self-powered speakers has created the need for distributed power control. Qiwi meets that need with an aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective option for new or retrofit installations. Metal faceplates are available in black, white and ivory.
The CQ 1 consists of a faceplate, duplex receptacle (NEMA 5-15R), and power control circuit, all housed in a metal enclosure that fits in a standard two-gang space. A third space is required for the power line connection. For ease of installation, the CQ 1 ships with a three-module plastic wall cabinet. Any approved, standard-sized three-gang cabinet can be substituted as needed.
After connecting the main AC power to the CQ 1, use the eight-wire RJ-45 style CQ signal cables connected to the input and output connectors on the CQ 1 enclosure to connect the CQ 1 to any number or configuration of other CQ series products. Then fix the assembly into the three-module wall box. That's all!
