4-inch, 7-inch deep blind-mount cabinet
The AtlasIED 4" Blind Mount Enclosure System (U.S. Patent # 4,673,149) provides an easy and cost effective alternative for securely installing loudspeakers in retrofitted ceiling applications. All necessary hardware is provided, including a unique bracket system with mounting ears that telescopically extend from the inside of the enclosure and adjust vertically to accommodate ceilings ranging in thickness from 1/2" (13 mm) to 1 3/8" (35 mm).
Units feature CRS construction and include torsion spring receptacles for quick mounting of torsion spring grilles. (J-nuts are also included on the back of the cabinet to accommodate surface-mount grilles.)
To allow cable access, the cabinet back plates are manufactured with three knockouts for 1/2" (13 mm) conduit. The enclosure is also fitted with sound-dampening material to minimize metallic resonance. The models are supported by two mounting ears and accommodate the AtlasIED torsion spring grille. Models T51-84 and T720-4BT mount 4" (102 mm) speakers.
BMT95-4-7 is an extra deep 7" (178 mm) version that includes high density fiberglass fill finished in textured black epoxy.
