AT527NC (PZA)

7 channels - 200 watts/channel

Amplifier Technologies, Inc., the prolific manufacturer of many of the finest high-end audio amplifiers, today added a new series of amplifiers. The ATI AT527NC amplifier and the entire AT520NC series of amplifiers are rated at 200W RMS per channel into 8 ohms and 300W RMS into 4 ohms. They are available in 2 to 8 channel configurations.

The ATI AT527NC amplifier breaks new ground in other respects. The ATI AT527NC amplifier is the first ATI amplifier to use microprocessor control for turn-on delay and features automatic AC power recognition and configuration. The amplifiers not only recognize whether they are connected to 117V or 230V nominal power, but they also automatically configure themselves. The amplifiers also incorporate a new and innovative "sleep" circuit. When the amplifier does not receive an input signal for a period of 10 minutes, power to the output modules is cut off and a front panel LED begins to flash. As soon as an input signal is detected on any channel, normal playback operation resumes instantly.

According to Morris Kessler, ATI president and chief engineer, "We are excited to offer amplifiers with ATI's legendary high performance and reliability in designs that reduce amplifier weight by up to 50%."

With a nominal distortion of less than 0.05% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 123 dB (minimum, referenced to nominal output), each amplifier in the series is capable of reproducing the full dynamic range available in today's lossless recordings.
