Emergency horn speaker with flange and 15 watt transformer, 25V/70V

The APF-15TU voice control speaker is equipped with a compression driver to provide up to 15 watts of continuous power, superior intelligibility and audio conversion efficiency for maximum sound projection and penetration. The APF series speakers can be flush-mounted or flush-mounted directly into indoor/outdoor walls or ceilings. Flush mounting can be achieved by mounting speakers in a 5 1/2" deep opening or recessed cabinet. Units will accommodate AtlasIED Series L20 grilles, cabinets, and mounting rings (see SL2-1372). Model MK-2 or FAMT-6 accessory mounting kits can be used to mount speakers on 8" diameter baffles.


Models include a built-in 25/70.7V Vari-Tap transformer that features a screwdriver-adjustable 7-position watt/impedance selection switch. The magnetic assembly is equipped with a self-aligning field-replaceable diaphragm. Wiring terminals are protected with a vandal-resistant adapter cover for control equipment using cable or conduit.

The APF-15TUC model includes a built-in 5 mfd capacitor for line monitoring. The APF-15TU model is not equipped with a condenser. All units have a gray baked epoxy finish.

All models meet or exceed UL 1480 for fire protection loudspeakers and are capable of operating within room temperature. Range of 66°C (150°F) to -35°C (-30°F). The all-metal, environmentally resistant construction and re-entrant acoustic path ensure protection against water, moisture, vermin, physical abuse, and corrosion. The models are also listed by the California State Fire Marshal.
