Classic quality
The 804 D4 is perhaps more conventional in appearance than other 800 Diamond Series speakers, but it's equally sophisticated. Its new reverse-wrap enclosure is a mechanical and acoustic revolution in its class, while its new base ensures a bass response that's as robust as it is precise.
Aluminum top plate
Each stereo model in the new 800 Diamond Series features a significantly improved enclosure with an innovative aluminum top plate. This addition also provides a perfect mounting point for the new Leather by Connolly trim, available in luxurious black leather for the dark-colored enclosures and light gray for the lighter finishes.
Enclosure with Inverted Envelope
Unlike a conventional speaker, the 804 D4's enclosure is made from a continuously curved section of wood, with the speakers mounted at the heart of the curve. This more rigid and inert structure resists mechanical resonances much better while ensuring superior sound dispersion.
Aluminum base
A serious speaker needs a rock-solid foundation. The new 804 D4 features a down-firing Flowport that sends its output to a solid aluminum base combined with a treated steel absorber layer that controls unwanted resonances. It also features substantially improved decoupling spikes to maximize stability and durability.
