Easy to achieve head sound effects
Jamo has pulled off something pretty nifty with the S 8's cashiers. These compact Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers connect to the top of the Jamo bookshelf and compatible floorstanding speakers, and provide soaring special effects for movie soundtracks.

Each speaker has custom connectors on the bottom that plug directly into the matching speaker below. (The matching "base" speaker has an additional set of input terminals for your receiver's Atmos channel.) Sound effects bounce off the ceiling and up to your ears, putting you right in the thick of the action. Pretty cool, right?

4" Polyfiber Woofer
The Jamo S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos Elevation speaker is equipped with a 4" polyfiber woofer with rubber surround.

Sealed MDF cabinet
The S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos Elevation speaker features a sealed acoustic suspension MDF cabinet wrapped in black vinyl with wood accents, and comes with a woven linen fabric grille.

Compatibility
The S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos Elevation speaker is only compatible with Jamo's S807/S809 floorstanding speakers and S803 bookshelf speakers. It does not offer any standard speaker terminal connectors for use with other speaker systems.

Discrete connections
Sleek metal latches atop the Jamo S807/S809 floorstanding speakers and S803 bookshelf speakers provide a sleek, modern industrial look, but also serve as a connection point for Jamo S8 ATM Dolby Atmos elevation speakers (sold separately). This patent-pending design allows all wire connections to be made on the back of the speaker, avoiding unsightly and messy speaker wire running all the way to the Atmos module – for the cinematic, fully immersive sound of Dolby Atmos while preserving the beautiful aesthetic of the Jamo Studio 8 series.

Dolby Atmos Certified
Dolby Atmos takes surround sound to a whole new level, adding the third dimension of height to the two-dimensional left/right 5.1 or 7.1 front/back sound mix. In Dolby Atmos, the floor-standing speakers create the "bed" sound, and the Dolby Atmos-enabled elevation speakers are fed a separate, discrete signal to move "loose objects" around the room with pinpoint accuracy. The effect is utterly convincing and truly elevates the home theater experience to new heights.
