The SB1002 is a high-performance, large-format subwoofer system that can be floor-stacked or easily flown via an integral mounting system, making it ideal for a wide range of installed and live sound applications. It delivers the most powerful sound output from dual 18-inch cone drivers, and the mounting of these drivers maximizes cone area and minimizes frontal area, providing the acoustic performance and physical configuration suitable for creating large subwoofer arrays. The drivers are specifically designed for the SB1002 and offer very large voice coils (4.5 inches) as well as powerful neodymium magnet structures that also reduce weight.

The SB1002 is designed for use with sophisticated digital signal processing to optimize LF response. EAW UX and MX series processors are recommended for the required crossover and equalization.

The mounting system, similar to that of EAW's popular KF760 series line arrays, features a quick and easy-to-use two-point approach that supports suspended arrays of up to 12 SB1002 units. A handle on the top rear corner of the SB1002 cabinet provides additional guidance and convenient "push-pull" capability in the flight process.

Applications include large dance and live music clubs, houses of worship, auditoriums/performing arts venues, corporate events, and concert tours.
