In the six years since the release of the latest NAIT integrated amplifiers, our research and development team has worked on a number of amplifier enhancements.
The result is enhanced power amp sections for the NAIT XS-3, bringing increased rhythm and intimacy to your musical delivery, whether you're driving a pair of speakers or your favorite headphones.
The NAIT XS3 has received major performance enhancements, including a built-in phono stage, making it the perfect companion for turntables, as well as streamers, CD players, or any other music source people want to enjoy with the signature Naim sound.
The NAIT XS3 offers much of the performance of our reference quality SUPERNAIT 3 in a simpler, slimmer package that combines a 70W power amplifier with five analog inputs plus a stage. Its high-output preamp stage is as transparent as you'd expect from a Naim Audio amp, and it also shares its big brother's single-brother Class A headphone output.
The NAIT XS3 can be upgraded with our external power supplies, power amplifiers and even hardwire upgrades to get the best out of all sources.

The updates in more detail:
Our R&D team has found a way to more than double the speed of the voltage gain stage, which in turn doubles the speed at which the speaker output stage can react.
The second gain stage transistors have been optimized so they no longer need to be protected by a cascode stage transistor. Removing the cascode means less amp stabilization is required: that doubles the speed of response and offers another improvement in sound quality.
The circuit topology comprises 3 stages: the gain stage, passive equalization, and final gain and active equalization. This allows for excellent noise performance, extended RIAA equalization beyond the audio band, and a large headroom.
All RIAA equalizing capacitors are 'through hole' mounted film designs, with low microphonic pickup and excellent transient performance. As the phono stages are 1000 times more sensitive than other inputs, this greatly benefits sound quality.
The input impedance is 47k? in parallel with a capacitive load of 470F; the gain is perfect for 5mV moving magnet cartridges
