2-WAY PASSIVE FULL-RANGE SPEAKER
The MK8126i two-way speaker system sets the new standard in installation performance by solving the chronic problems of compact two-way speakers. However, its size is actually smaller than many of the compact two-way speakers it surpasses.
Advanced beamwidth-matched crossover point selection transitions between subsystems exactly where the 120° (h) x 60° (v) coverage pattern of the HF horn matches the woofer pattern. This eliminates the beamwidth discrepancy that creates off-axis voids in the crossover area of traditional two-way systems.
The internal passive crossover/filter network uses complex, asymmetrical slopes to integrate the subsystems and goes beyond simply splitting the signal to perform critical equalization functions.
- The system includes an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch exit/1.5-inch voice coil compression driver in a 120° x 60° CD horn.
- The internal passive crossover/filter network allows power to be fed through a single amplifier channel while smoothing the power response.
