KSM313/NE (PZA) MICROPHONE

KSM313/NE Dual Ribbon Microphone

The Shure KSM313 ribbon microphone is a professional-quality ribbon microphone ideal for capturing instruments or vocals. The microphone features a figure-8 polar pattern and a true dual-voice ribbon motor assembly, allowing you to choose the microphone's response. Choose between a warm, full sound for amplifiers or a bright sound for vocals.

Characteristics

  • Bi-directional pattern, exceptional audio and good off-axis sound rejection.
  • Dual-band customized specifically to the user's chosen frequency response: warm and full for amplifiers, or rotated to the back to reproduce vocals with brightness and fidelity.
  • The revolutionary Roswellite™ tape material replaces traditional aluminum tapes with its high tensile strength, toughness, and shape memory that provide superior resistance at extreme SPL levels.
  • Hand-selected components for increased presence, minimal signal loss, and maximum output level.
  • 146 dB SPL in the 30 to 15,000 Hz band, perfect for capturing the fast transients of vocals, acoustic instruments, and concert halls.
  • Legendary Shure quality and construction, featuring hand-assembled steel, silver, gold, and aluminum parts.
  • Exclusive monocular mounting system with tilting capability for easy replacement and perfect orientation.
  • Includes a protective wooden case to store the microphone when not in use.

Ribbon microphones are known for being extremely delicate. Two aspects make the KSM313 different:

  1. The high strength, tensile strength, and shape memory of the KSM313/NE's Roswellite™ ribbon material replaces traditional aluminum foil ribbons, resulting in increased robustness at extreme sound pressure levels and longer microphone life.
  2. Bi-directionality means that one side of the KSM313/NE offers a brighter character, making vocals stand out from the crowd, while the other side of the microphone delivers a rich, full sound, ideal for amplified instruments.
