Designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, the SM82-EZ-II-WX is a cost-effective solution for integrators needing a surface-mount outdoor speaker option for music and PA applications. SM82-EZ-II-WX incorporates a dedicated 8-inch polypropylene woofer and a 1-inch offset soft dome tweeter with waveguide to deliver excellent intelligibility for background-to-foreground music and messages (up to 106.0 dB max. SPL). SoundTube's patented BroadBeam Ring™ technology on all models ensures high intelligibility, even off-axis. All SM-EZ-WX speakers are Weather Extreme rated IP65, meaning they are dust-tight and will withstand water jets directed directly at them when installed with the included port plugs.

The SM82-EZ-II-WX utilizes a 64 watt low insertion loss transformer and a six position bypass switch with one transformer bypass position. The SM82-EZ-II-WX enclosures are ported and port plugs are included; The grilles and mounting hardware are powder-coated aluminum. ^{Mounting for the SM82-EZ-II-WX includes a Stealth™ bracket} patented, low-profile, tool-less with a direct-drive cam wedge for stable and precise pointing up to 90° in one direction. Inputs are made via ceramic terminal blocks, making these speakers suitable for European voice evacuation systems. A security cable, wall mount bracket, conduit connector, and port hole plug are included. IP Rating: IP65.

*Note: If used indoors, remove the grille and unplug the port plug for increased bass output. The port must remain plugged in to maintain the IP65 rating for outdoor use.
