SoundTube SM52-EZ-WX Superor Surface Mount Speaker in Black

Designed for extreme weather resistance, the SM52-EZ-WX is a cost-effective solution for integrators needing a surface-mount outdoor speaker option for music and paging applications. The speaker incorporates a dedicated 5.25-inch polypropylene woofer and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with waveguide to deliver excellent intelligibility for background to foreground music and messaging (up to 100.0 dB max. SPL). SoundTube’s patented BroadBeam RingTM technology on all models ensures high intelligibility, even well off-axis. The SM-EZ-WX speakers are Weather Extreme rated with an IP65 rating, meaning the speakers are watertight and will withstand water jets directed directly at them when installed with the included port plugs. With its 32-watt transformer and 6-position pencil switch, the SM52-EZ offers 25.5V, 70.7V, and 100V operation with an 8-ohm bypass. Inputs are made via ceramic terminal strips, making these speakers suitable for European voice evacuation systems. The SM52-EZ-WX includes a powder-coated aluminum grille and mounting hardware, a security cable, a wall-mount bracket, a conduit connector, and a port hole plug. IP-Rating: IP65.

*Note: If using indoors, remove the grille and slide the plug out of the port for greater bass output. The port must remain plugged in to maintain the IP65 rating for outdoor use.
