Wi-Fi streaming audio player
The MBX-PRE streaming audio player is designed to offer an easy-to-install and configure media streaming solution for adding high-quality streaming audio content to any audio system. The MBX-PRE can be used as a single stereo audio streaming source for a single room, or supply a single audio stream to a larger whole-house system via its easy-to-use analog/digital (coaxial/optical) line-level outputs.
The MBX-PRE allows expansion up to 32 audio transmission rooms in a single installation with any combination of other Russound MBX series transmission products. When combined with a Russound multi-room controller, the system can be expanded to up to 8 independent audio sources and up to 48 audio rooms in total.
In addition to offering audio streaming from popular Internet sources, the MBX-PRE also offers UPnP-compatible local audio streaming. ™ .
Additionally, a built-in USB port allows users to connect an external flash drive or externally powered USB hard drive for use as additional music sources.
