ULTRA AL32 PROCESSING COMPATIBLE WITH 384 KHZ/32 BITS
The DCD-A110 employs Ultra AL32 Processing, Denon's latest in analog waveform reproduction technology. This processing uses data interpolation algorithms and is compatible with high-resolution 192 kHz/24-bit PCM signal input. These algorithms interpolate points that should exist before and after the points in large amounts of data to obtain a smooth waveform similar to the original signal.
These algorithms oversample the bandwidth of the original content, smoothing the waveform and improving sound reproduction. Ultra AL32 processing doubles the processing bandwidth of the previous generation, passing 384 kHz/32-bit content at 1512 MHz. By painstakingly restoring data lost during digital recording, you get highly detailed sound, free of interference, precisely localized, highly expressive in the low frequencies and remarkably faithful to the original sound.
HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO COMPONENTS
All audio components have been carefully selected and optimized to offer the best sound quality. The DCD-A110 inherits Denon's custom audio capacitor from the "DCD-SX1 Limited", our premium SACD player only sold in Japan. The audio and power sections use AMRS and MELF resistors. MELF resistors offer higher performance with low noise.
CONFIGURATION WITH QUAD D/A CONVERTER
The DCD-A110 employs a new quad D/A converter configuration that enables a more powerful and higher quality spatially reproduced soundstage. Each D/A converter converts the large amount of data coming from the Ultra AL32 processing to send both left and right signals. This allows today's output package to achieve the highest quality sound and exceed the limiting operating frequency of DACs, thus ensuring outstanding audio performance. This further reduces the noise level, improving the signal-to-noise ratio between 4 and 6 dB, depending on the sample rate of the content (6 dB for PCM and 4 dB for DSD), as well as total harmonic distortion. Finally, the DCD-A110 does not employ the typical post-filter of op amps. It's equipped with a fully discrete crossover stage with carefully selected audio parts specifically tuned by Denon's sound expert for exceptional audio performance and a wide soundstage.
