Q Series 12-inch 4 cu ft Square Cabinet
This 12" Q Series cabinet features a unique acoustic fiberboard permanently attached to the inner walls of the cabinet that effectively eliminates the "hangover" and vibration normally associated with large metal cabinets.
For additional rigidity, unique ribs are formed along the back. In addition, the interior walls are lined with 1 1/2" (38 mm) thick fiberglass with a thickness of 1 1/2 lb./cu. ft. density to control unwanted resonances at the upper end of the frequency spectrum.
The "Q" Series cabinets are constructed of 18 gauge cold rolled steel. Composite 1/2" - 3/4" (13mm-19mm) knockouts are provided on all four sides. The cabinet front mounting panel is constructed of heavy-duty 18-gauge steel and incorporates the plaster ring for baffle mounting. This panel is insulated with a foam gasket to prevent metal-to-metal contact.
Two sets of slotted mounting tabs are welded on parallel sides to accept the optional QR30 mounting channels for mounting the enclosure to the ceiling. These mounting tabs can also be used for any specific mounting techniques developed by the installer. It is important for the sound contractor to take particular note of the weight of these cabinets to determine proper mounting procedures.
