The GD87W is a high-performance coaxial speaker package with identical performance specifications to the legendary AtlasIED C803A model. This similarity in sound quality ensures that existing C803A systems can be expanded with the new GD87W without noticeable differences in sound or performance.

This coaxial speaker features a frequency response of 45 Hz - 19 kHz (nominal) and a wide, uniform 105° dispersion pattern (2 kHz octave band). The GD87 combines a full-size 8" (203 mm) diameter low-frequency player and a 3" (76 mm) high-frequency player. The two sections are coupled by a built-in cross net. The woofer is 10 oz. (260 g) ceramic magnet; the tweeter is 2.35 oz. (67 g) ceramic magnet. The unit has an average sensitivity of 96 dB (1 W/1 m).

The speaker is paired with a high-efficiency 8-watt, 70.7-V transformer with a maximum insertion loss of 0.6 dB. This premium transformer is constructed with audio-grade laminations and has a full-range frequency response of +1 dB from 50 Hz to 15 kHz. The main taps are 1, 2, 4 and 8 watts.

The GD87W includes a factory-installed CRS style 62-8 baffle with hidden speaker mounting bolts and includes screw mounting hardware. The deflector is finished in white epoxy powder paint.
