The speaker components match the performance of the legendary AtlasIED Strategy Series II FA Series. The high-quality construction of the 1" voice-coil drivers includes polypropylene cones with a butyl rubber surround. The coaxially mounted 19mm tweeter is constructed of durable PEI. The speaker's high sensitivity means that less power may be required to achieve the desired SPL. The speakers are factory-assembled in an optimally tuned, ported, deep-drawn enclosure and include a specially designed 70.7V/100V low-saturation transformer. A convenient front-mounted switch allows tap selection without removing the speaker from the ceiling. Exclusively Designed "Easy Access" Entry The panel design allows "thru" ducting using either flexible or rigid conduit. A detachable, locking, Phoenix-style four-pole connector provides easy daisy-chain wiring to other AtlasIED FAPSUB full-range speakers or subwoofers. The attractive, snap-fit ​​grille blends seamlessly with the contemporary styling.

Mounting is simplified with Strategy Series II's "dogleg" style tabs that allow easy installation on tile or drywall ceilings with the provided tile bridge assembly. The tile bridge consists of (2) triangular shaped mounting rails and a C-ring assembly. The C-ring can be attached to the rails with the provided screws to extend the bracket to T-bar grid in suspended ceiling applications. Multiple hole locations are provided to allow the C-ring to be positioned to the outside edge of the tile, if necessary. For existing drywall applications, the tile bridge C-ring and support rails can be inserted into the hole cut for the cabinet. For easy positioning, the "V" shaped support rails match the shape of the C-ring tabs for easy maneuvering and positioning when working "blind" on the platform. For new construction drywall ceiling applications, the optional FAP62-TR trim ring is available. This unit provides a marked location for drywall installers to cut, essentially reserving the desired location on the ceiling until final speaker installation. Mounting holes are provided to accommodate 16" or 24" OC studs/joists.
