EZ Mount Flanged Torsion Box for 8-inch Speakers
The EZ Mounting Bracket System (Patent No. 4,484,658) is available on AtlasIED’s most popular 4” and 8” round enclosures. It also supports the same wide selection of baffles to meet your specifications and provide inventory flexibility (see chart overleaf). The EZ Mounting Rail/Box System transfers the composite weight of the speaker, baffle, and box to ceiling support members via adjustable support rails (included).
The rails can be adjusted vertically and then secured to the specially designed, pre-assembled cabinet brackets with screws (supplied). No tile bridging or expensive screw mounting is required.
Cabinet models EZ96-4, EZ96-4X, EZE49, and EZE410 accept standard 4" speakers; models EZ95-8, EZ96-8, and EZ195-8 accept standard 8" speakers. These heavy-gauge, welded CRS cabinets have a textured black epoxy finish and undercoating to prevent mechanical and acoustic resonance. All units are equipped with conduit knockouts. Support rails are also heavy-gauge CRS with a galvanized finish.
Note: For suspended ceiling installations that do not require protective enclosures, a similar EZ mounting bracket system is available for pre-assembled 4" and 8" speaker/transformer/baffle packages. See SL1-1197.
