The DW5066 is an all-in-one wall panel controller for multi-zone digital audio matrix systems and multimedia digital audio mixers. It offers several control functions, such as audio source selection, which allows you to change routing or activate specific mixing presets ('scenes', M2 only).
Control is via the versatile rotary pressure dial, which can also be used to adjust other settings such as volume, tone control, phantom power, mute, etc. A local microphone and line-level input allows for the connection of additional input units for patching to the matrix/mixer, while one of these can also be converted into a local line output.
Additional inputs allow the connection of a CD player, MP3 player, or any other audio source as a local input, while a microphone can be connected for announcements. Both the line and microphone audio inputs can be mixed locally using two locking potentiometers, and 15V phantom power can be enabled on the microphone input to power condenser microphones.
The audio output feature can be very useful in applications where a local audio output is required that carries the same audio signal as one of the direct outputs. This can be very useful for monitoring, recording, or other system expansion purposes. A 2.5" graphic LCD display ensures a user-friendly experience.
