8" Pendant Mount Dante PoE Speaker System

The AtlasIED DA-PM8GD is an 8" indoor pendant-mount amplified PoE IP speaker featuring Audinate's Dante digital audio transport platform. The DA-PM8GD supports an efficient 8" speaker design with a sensitivity of 98dB 1W/1m and a maximum output of 109dB.

AtlasIED Dante™ PoE speakers consist of a speaker, an amplifier, a control board, and a Dante™ interface. The DA-PM8GD amplifier can produce up to 15 watts RMS of power in single channel mode or up to 2 x 10 watts in dual channel mode with IEEE 802.3at compliant PoE+ switches and 10-watt single channel mode or 2 x 5-watts in dual channel mode with PoE power. Interconnection is via a female RJ-45 connector mounted on the top panel. All models are compatible with Audinate's Dante™ digital audio transport platform.

The DA-PM8GD features user-configurable amp modes, input EQ, level control, and masking with room tuning EQ. All controls are performed through AtlasIED IP Discovery and Control software. Through this software, you can discover active IP speakers on the network with the ability to assign a custom name to each speaker with a location tag for system management. The AtlasIED control software features an audible ping-me locator that makes it easy to physically locate the speaker. System tuning can be performed on an individual speaker or on an assigned group.

The DA-PM8GD is shipped configured for use with a single speaker. It can also be set to dual mode to drive a second passive speaker of the same type such as the PM8GD. When the DA-PM8GD amplifier is set to dual mode, the amplifier power is split between the DA-PM8GD and the passive speaker. The secondary speaker output shares the same factory EQ settings as the DA-PM8GD. The amplifier levels can be adjusted separately.

Attaching the DA-PM8GD to most raised surfaces is very simple. For open beam ceilings, a 3-meter cable kit with a self-gripping gland system is included. If downpipe installation from a hard roofing material is required, any 3/4" ceiling fan installation kit can be used. These kits are available under the FANTEC brand at home improvement stores with several downpipe length options for easy installation regardless of the roof. Angle of the material (up to 45°).

Either installation solution is implemented discreetly through the PM Series' innovative top cover design. This cover includes a cable access plug that is easily removed for downpipe mounting. The cover also completely conceals the Ethernet cable terminations and suspension anchor points.
