AtlasIED 8" Blind Mount Enclosure Systems (U.S. Patent No. 4,673,149) provide an easy and cost effective alternative for securely installing loudspeakers in retrofit ceiling applications. All necessary hardware is provided, including a unique bracket system with mounting ears that telescopically extend from the inside of the enclosure and adjust vertically to accommodate ceilings ranging in thickness from 1/2" (13 mm) to 1 3/8" (35 mm).
Units feature CRS construction and include torsion spring receptacles for quick mounting of torsion spring grilles. (J-nuts are included on the back of the cabinet to accommodate surface-mount grilles.)
To allow cable access, the cabinet backplates are manufactured with three knockouts for 1/2" (13 mm) conduit. The cabinets are also equipped with sound-dampening material to minimize metallic resonance.
