15A Power Distribution and Conditioner Unit with IEC Power Cord
The AP-S15A and AP-S15LA feature noise filtering for unwanted radio frequency interference (RFI) commonly introduced into AC lines by nearby radio transmitters or wireless products. EMI filters are also incorporated to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise generated by elements such as electric motors and switching power supplies.
Unstable AC mains voltage is one of the main reasons for equipment failure. The amount of energy that can be injected into the power system can be immense, with voltages reaching 6 kV or peak amperages of 3000 A. These spikes are very rapid and usually only last a very short period of time. The AP-S15A and AP-S15LA circuits are very fast and can suppress unwanted energy in a nanosecond response and maintain suppression for up to 2 milliseconds, ensuring virtually trouble-free protection. The AP-S15A and AP-S15LA include a detachable 12-foot IEC cable with retention bracket. The AP-S15LA has a removable, dimmable LED light tube incorporated into the front panel to illuminate a rack.
