POWER SEQUENCING FOR AUDIO (PZA)
Three-sequence power distribution system
15 amp with remote control capability
This is an excellent product for applications where AC power protection is needed for multiple pieces of equipment that need to be controlled and sequenced. The CQ-1515 has a capacity of fifteen amps. In addition to sequenced activation and remote control, it provides superior surge protection for sensitive data processing, audio and video electronic equipment.
The CQ-1515 is a single-space rackmount device that features 7 AC power outlets on the rear of the chassis with a combined rating of 15 amps. An output is disconnected. The remaining 6 outputs are grouped into 3 Power Pods with two outputs each. Each Power Pod is an individual sequence event. All outlets have Juice Goose quality surge and spike protection with front panel LED monitoring.
Because the CQ-1515 has a self-contained sequencing circuit, it can be either a master or slave in a power sequencing system. An eight-wire RJ-45 cable can be connected to the signal input and/or signal output connectors of this unit to link its operations with other CQ or control devices.
Surge protection and LED function
The CQ-1515 features triple-stage, replaceable, fast-acting AC surge protection on line and neutral without ground line contamination. This protection is designed to be durable and is expected to last for many years in a normal power line environment.
A flashing blue/red processor LED indicates continued operation of the circuit and logic that controls and drives the sequencer while being protected from power line surges between line and neutral. If the surge protection fails due to excessive exposure to surges or an extreme event on the power line, the processor LED on the front of the CQ will flash red. Individual blue "Pod" LEDs are linked to the output of each of the sequencer's relays. Each LED lights up when its relay is blocked.
Processor LED Function: Blue/Red Flashing = Sequencer and Surge Protection OK. Flashing Red = Sequencer OK, surge protection fault. Solid blue or off = sequencer failure
Sequence synchronization adjustment
For CQ series products, the standard delay time between up and down sequence events is 2 seconds. This can be adjusted on the CQ 1515 by changing the position of two DIP switches located on the main control circuit board. Time options are 2 seconds (standard), 10 seconds, 20 seconds, and 30 seconds.
