To deliver maximum performance from a compact cabinet, Sonica has four separate amplifiers that are set up in a 2.1 stereo setup. Two 15-watt amplifiers are bridged to drive the 3.5" bass woofer and two 3" bass radiators with a combined 30-watt power output. Two additional amplifiers, 10 watts each, power a stereo pair of 2.5" wideband drivers. Using a 2.1 stereo setup is a proven approach that allows for the best possible performance.
Incredibly strong bass
The bass radiators used in the Sonica are unique for a product in this price category and serve to further enhance performance. The two complementary bass radiators are located on each side of the enclosure facing each other. They not only improve bass response, but also cancel unwanted vibrations in the speaker cabinet. This ensures that Sonica remains still without rattling or shaking when music is played at very high volumes.
