THE DI-48(PZA)
The active Direct Box with 48V phantom power has lower noise and purer sound quality than the passive Direct Box. Most importantly, the DI-48 doesn't require batteries.
Features include a -15dB pad, 180° polarity inversion, a unique blend function for mixing two signals to mono, an 80Hz high-pass rumble filter, and ground lift.
The unique function of combining two signals into mono, the INPUT and THRU interfaces are combined into left and right stereo input interfaces.
Ground switch to isolate the 48V phantom power supply to help eliminate ground loops, while eliminating hash and system noise
The 180° polarity inversion switch, which reverses the phase of the input signal by 180°, eliminates hiss and hum.
Unbalanced long-distance cable transmission is susceptible to noise from external interference, which can be converted to a balanced output by DI-48 to reduce noise.

Electronic musical instruments such as electric bass, electronic piano, and electric guitar are high-level, high-impedance unbalanced outputs. If sent directly to the mixer, the signal is prone to harmonic distortion. Due to impedance mismatch, the unbalanced output of 6.35 is in the process of long-distance transmission. It is easy to be interfered with by the outside world and cause excessive noise. At this point, it can be converted to a balanced output via the DI box to reduce noise.
The DI-48 is a unique in-line box, specifically designed to handle a new generation of acoustic-electric guitars, electric basses, electronic organs, and other electronic musical instruments. It handles harmonic distortion caused by signal overload. Most importantly, the DI-48 doesn't require a battery.
The DI-48's internal digital switching power supply converts 48V DC phantom power to produce a higher internal rail voltage, allowing the DI-48 to handle transients as low as 9 volts without choke. Greater headroom results in lower square wave distortion. At the same time, minimal phase harmonics and intermodulation distortion are introduced.
The DI-48 features a transformer to isolate the 48V phantom power supply to help eliminate ground loops, eliminate hash and system noise, while ensuring the original sound of the instrument.
