WP523 (PZA)
Remote wall mixer for LX523
The WP523 is a remote wall mixer designed for use with the LX523 active speaker system. It converts the signal from a stereo line-level audio source (such as a CD player, tuner, MP3 player, etc.) or a balanced microphone to the level corresponding to the LX523's differential signal input (RJ45), allowing high-quality audio to be transferred over long distances between the wall panel and the speaker, simply by using inexpensive twisted-pair CAT5 cabling.
On the front of the wall panel, there's a stereo RCA line input and a balanced XLR microphone input, both with their own controls for mixing signals. A master volume dial allows you to adjust the overall volume of the speaker system.
The mixer potentiometers are flush with the surface and both feature a Push-Lock mechanism. They can be opened and retracted by pressing them. An internal limiter prevents distortion in the input signal and intervenes when the input signal level reaches the clipping level. The 'Clip' LED located above the mixer potentiometer will illuminate when it is recommended to reduce the level. This should be done by turning the potentiometer back. A jumper on the back of the panel allows you to enable 12V phantom power for the microphone input. The wall panel must be connected using CAT5 twisted-pair UTP cabling, capable of distances of up to 500 meters. It must be connected to the 8-pin European terminal block connector on the back of the panel.
