The AXIR/O is a 120-watt rated outdoor column speaker that is specifically designed for outdoor use and lends itself to a wide variety of outdoor applications where audibility of music and speech is important. It features two speaker sections, each consisting of six high-quality 2” full-range speakers that deliver extraordinary sound and surprisingly high power. A 100-volt multi-tap line transformer allows the speaker to be connected to large public address systems with selectable power ratings of 40 watts, 20 watts, and 10 watts. 

A fourth selection is also provided for connection to low-impedance audio systems. To ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability in outdoor conditions, several specific features are provided. The speaker connection is via a waterproof, rotatable AWX-5 connector, allowing the desired outlet to be selected based on the rotation of the connector.

Second, the 12 drivers receive a special coating to protect them from the elements, while a waterproof, acoustically transparent fabric in front of each driver keeps water penetration at a safe distance. Additional reliability is achieved through the use of an aluminum front grille and a galvanized stainless steel mounting bracket. Together, these improvements result in an IP55 weatherproof floorstanding speaker of exceptional quality and design!
