ARJ03P (PZA)
The ARJ03P is an RJ45 splitter/breakout box that can be used to connect and split any twisted pair based data bus that is connected using RJ45 connectors. A typical application example is the expansion of communication and audio transfer buses through which multiple input and/or output devices are connected to a single peripheral port in a matrix system.
Another typical example is the application of an external power supply to a communication bus, to power the remote input or output module when the transferred supply voltage becomes insufficient due to long cable lengths. It consists of three RJ45 connectors which are a 'BUS IN' and 'BUS OUT' connector to make the input and output connections, while the third connector allows the connection of the remote input or output module.
Two termination jumpers are provided by which the communication (Pin4 and Pin5) and audio (Pin7 and Pin8) pairs can be terminated to their characteristic impedance (120 ohms), to ensure clear, reflection-free communication. A terminal block connector is provided through which an external power supply (+24 V DC) can be connected to the bus. The +24 V DC is available on RJ45 Pin3 (+) and Pin6 (GND).
