Speaker Station (PZA)
Vandal-proof plate-mounted call switch
The stations are equipped with a 2 1/2" (64 mm) diameter speaker to deliver clear voice and signal transmission, while the moisture-proof, phenolic resin-impregnated fabric cone provides long-lasting performance. The VPCS Series includes two die-cast baffles to protect the speaker mount from vandalism.
The series is available with a 25V transformer providing 1/4, 1/2, 1 and 2 watt taps or as a 45Ω configuration. Model numbers marked "PB" include a vandal-resistant push-button call switch for installation where call origination is a required feature or a desired security enhancement. The "PB" models feature a heavy-duty momentary action push button with a contact rating of 3 A at 120 VAC/1.5 A at 250 VAC, mounted on an 11 gauge stainless steel faceplate.
The faceplate mounts standard 2 and/or 3 gang EO enclosures with any 6-32" countersunk mounting screw. Lead wires are 5" (127 mm). The switch is single-pole, single-throw, normally open. The push button assembly is made of nickel-plated brass and sealed against moisture with an IP65 rating. VPB-1A is a vandal-resistant push-button intercom accessory mounted on a single-size stainless steel plate. Use the assembly in conjunction with 2- and 3-group VPCS stations or as a stand-alone signaling device when a separate or remotely located call origination button is desired.
