Sound Masking Generator
The AtlasIED TSD-GPN1200 sound masking generator is perfectly suited for basic sound masking systems. The analog topology design eliminates the repetitive cycles commonly found in low-cost digital designs from other manufacturers.
The TSD-GPN1200 allows selection between pink or white noise sources and incorporates a variable balanced output to meet the input requirements of AtlasIED equalizers and amplifiers. In addition to the line-level output, a 4W, 70V output is provided to power up to six masking speakers with a 0.5W connection each.
A variable high-cut filter with an operating range between 1 kHz and 8 kHz with a slope of 6 dB per octave supports the equalization requirements for most basic sound masking systems. Both outputs can be used simultaneously, allowing large areas to be addressed with external equalization and amplification, while a smaller area is powered by the internal 70.7V amplifier with spectrum control provided by the integrated high-cut filter.
The unit requires a separately sold power supply to operate properly; multiple TSDs can be powered with one power supply depending on current requirements. This unit has a 250mA power requirement, so any of the available TDS power supplies can be used with the unit. For multiple TSD applications, use the TSD Energy Calculator to determine the appropriate power supply needed.
