Featuring an innovative design for optimal sound, the Boston Acoustics A 250 dual two-way 5-1/4-inch floorstanding speaker is an ideal addition to home theater or music systems. This impressively sized floorstanding speaker features internal bracing and a reinforcement disc for improved sound quality. A Kortec soft dome tweeter delivers crystal-clear high frequencies, while glass fiber/ceramic polymer woofers deliver more bass response with less amplifier power.

The 1-inch Kortec Boston soft dome tweeter delivers clear high-frequency response, making movies come alive and vocal performances sing clearly.
WOOFER DESIGN REDUCES DISTORTION
Each 5-1/4-inch A-Series woofer uses Deep Channel Design (DCD) magnet structures to deliver more bass with less amplifier power, resulting in a fuller, cleaner sound. The A-Series woofers feature ceramic and glass fiber polymer cones that help reduce distortion for improved clarity.
INNOVATIVE CABINET SHAPE ENHANCES STEREO IMAGING
All A-Series cabinets utilize a tuned resonant port design to expand the woofer's sound output for improved low-frequency response and stereo imaging. The A 250 features a fully sealed diagonal inner panel for a tighter, cleaner midrange and bass.
BINDING POSTS MAKE INSTALLATION EASIER
Five-way gold-plated binding posts offer plenty of flexibility, making installation easy. The large contact surface of the connecting terminals allows for particularly pure signal transfer.

Boston Acoustics creates all of its loudspeakers following the Play Smart approach to product design: smart, useful, and sensible design features combined with contemporary styling. To deliver the best possible performance in this price range, Boston engineers brought together the best elements of traditional speaker design, incorporating several new technologies into the A Series.
Boston engineers used laser vibrometer scanning and finite element analysis (FEA) to identify unwanted resonances in the speaker with the goal of eliminating them to greatly improve performance. The elimination of hardware on the cabinet's front baffle and rounded front edges further enhance driver performance for improved stereo imaging.
