803 D4 (PZA)
Our most compact model, equipped with a separate driver, brings all the technical advantages of a dedicated media enclosure – the Turbine™ Driver, with its decoupled midrange cone – to a smaller footprint that fits easily into any home.
Little wonder
The 803 D4 may be noticeably more compact than the 801 D4 or 802 D4, but it still packs a punch when it comes to technical innovation, particularly thanks to the use of a three-block construction. Its 130 mm (5-inch) midrange driver is carefully isolated from the impact of its bass drivers thanks to its Turbine Head enclosure.
Enclosure with Inverted Envelope
Unlike a conventional speaker, the 803 D4's enclosure is made from a continuously curved section of wood, with the speakers mounted at the heart of the curve. This more rigid and inert structure resists mechanical resonances much better while ensuring superior sound dispersion.

Improved Matrix™ structure
The Matrix structure uses interlocking panels to reinforce the speaker walls in all directions, reducing resonances and creating a more credible soundstage. The Matrix structure used in the 803 D4 is the best we've ever developed, ensuring optimal scale, sound pressure level, and intelligibility.

Aluminum pods on the woofers
The 803 D4 houses two Aerofoil™ bass cones in dedicated billet aluminum pods, each affixed to an aluminum plate, which in turn is affixed to the stiffest part of its curved enclosure. Formed as a single piece of metal, these extremely rigid structures provide the perfect mechanical location for the bass cones.

The science of sound
Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We question, we examine, we understand, and then we evolve. We use computer modeling to explore and reimagine every aspect of speaker design. Learn more about all the technologies that combine to make the 800 Series Diamond™ so special here.
