Matrix™ at its finest

The Matrix structure uses interlocking panels to internally reinforce the speaker walls in all directions, reducing resonances and creating a more credible soundstage. The Matrix structure used in the 801 D4 is the best we've ever developed, enhanced with aluminum elements to reinforce critical fatigue points.

Turbine™ Head

Constructed entirely from aluminum, the Turbine Driver houses our Continuum™ midrange cone in a rigid, critically damped enclosure to eliminate unwanted resonances. At the same time, it's decoupled from the bass enclosure and tweeter body. The result? The most natural midrange ever heard.
