Model Five acoustic suspension loudspeakers are known as one of the best and most sought after loudspeakers for both new and seasoned audiophiles. Our updated version of this classic speaker features real wood paneling, cast aluminum baskets, and uses acoustic suspension design principles made famous by founder Henry Kloss. The KLH Model Five vintage speaker is offered in three beautiful finishes (English Walnut, West African Mahogany and Nordic Noir), allowing the speaker to blend in with any home décor. The English Walnut Model Five comes with a beautiful Stone Wash Linen mesh fabric that magnifies the rich finish of real wood veneers. Meanwhile, our West African mahogany finish is complemented by an old world linen cloth grille that will stop you in your tracks. And finally, the Nordic Noir finish ships with the lovely Medici Gray Linen grill cloth.

What makes the KLH Model Five Monitor Loudspeaker different from other loudspeakers?
It all comes down to the Model Five's acoustic suspension design. Acoustic suspension loudspeakers are much better suited to dealing with low frequency program material than any other speaker design.
This is particularly true listening to contemporary music. Today's recording technology has become so advanced that artists are constantly finding new ways to use the frequency band below 40 Hz. This was not the case 20 years ago. As technology has evolved, it's becoming apparent that traditional bass-reflex speakers have problems with detail and accuracy in this regard.
